The Legally BLK Fund Scholarship
opens on Juneteenth annually!
The next application cycle starts on June 19, 2025.
The annual Legally BLK Fund Scholarship provides a $1,000 scholarship award to Black women applying to law school. LBF fellows also receive access to law school admissions consulting, mentorship, subsidized LSAT group tutoring, and more, while joining a growing community of like-minded Black women.
Applicants must be (1) self-identifying Black women (2) college students or graduates (3) based in the United States and (4) applying for entry into law school in the next two to three years.

Applicants must be (1) self-identifying Black women (2) college students or graduates (3) based in the United States and (4) applying for a Fall 2026, Fall 2027 or Fall 2028 entry into law school. Applicants should have a financial need, be passionate about the law and and be committed to paying it forward.
There is NO age, GPA or LSAT requirement for the scholarship.

Applicants must complete the application form which includes the following: Personal Details, Resume, Headshot, Undergraduate Transcript, Responses to 3 short answer questions (300 word limit each).

July 19, 2025: Application Closes at 11:59 pm EST
August 09, 2025: Applicants notified.
September 08, 2025: Welcome Meeting & Official Launch for Scholarship Recipients

Scholarship recipients must attend check-in meetings with members of the LBF team, attend at least 75% of the monthly virtual workshops, and use the scholarship in connection with the law school application process.
